Hi all! It’s Oleksandr Azarov with you today on the Lindy’s blog and I am very glad to meet you. Today I want to show you the process of creating a simple, bright, summer board.
For the project, I took a watercolor board and chose three bright sprays from the Starburst collection Martian Magenta Shimmer Spray, Yellow Rose of Texas Shimmer Spray, Bells of Ireland Green Shimmer Spray, and I made splashes without using a sprayer, arranging the colors visually in a triangle, letting the sprays mix in the middle of the imaginary triangle.
After drying the surface well, use a stamp, transparent ink and your favorite embossing powder Gimme Five Gold. I apply impressions on top of the splashes. I am not trying to get a clear print, but only small fragments of letters and words.
The next step, in order to streamline my chaos a little, I applied a texture paste using a stencil with a clear geometric pattern, but in order for the resulting pattern not to be easy, I took a transparent texture paste with glitter.
While the board is drying, I prepare several butterflies and stamp them using gold embossing powder.
I glue only the middle part to the board adding volume to the wings. I place them along a broken line tending to the top, adding dynamics to the board. And painting using the sprays I chose for bright splashes.
And as a final step, I added inscriptions to each butterfly and supplemented the board with decorative stones. and now our board is ready..
