Postcard with watercolor effect using STARBURST sprays

Postcard with watercolor effect using STARBURST sprays

Hi all! It’s Oleksandr Azarov with you for Lindy’s Gang and I am very glad to meet you.
Today I want to show you the process of creating a card with a watercolor effect.

The first step is to stamp the image on watercolor paper using clear ink, a stamp and white embossing powder Wowzers White Detail EP (unfortunately the camera does not capture the image.

And then we move on to my favorite process – coloring. First I paint the leaves using a spray Sea Mint Green Shimmer Spray. It’s not a problem if you go beyond the outline of the image, then we will blur the edge a little and create a soft transition.

Using a spray Green with Envy Green Shimmer Spray. I add shadow and volume. By using several shades of the same color (you can use different colors) you will always have a more voluminous and deeper design.

The next step is to paint the flower, for this, I chose a bright yellow spray Yellow Rose of Texas Shimmer Spray. I really love it)

As always, I add a few shades, in this case the green that I used to paint the foliage, and with a little brush, I blur the transition between the colors.

I painted the stamens inside the flower using spray Red Hot Poker Orange Shimmer Spray and added a little of this color to the center of the flower

Next, I decided to blur the boundaries of the leaves and stem a little. To do this, I used a spray and moistened the leaf with water in the leaf area and added a little splash of yellow and green color, after covering the inflorescence with a sheet of paper.

The last step is to add the inscription and some decorative stones and the card is ready.
