Hi Gang, it’s Cindy here today and I’m testing the four different Lindy’s Sprays and then using them to create a beautiful custom Lace Canvas .
First I tested the 4 types of Lindy’s Sprays on different papers to see how they look on different backgrounds – black, textured, paper and yupo.
Basic Technique
- The first test is on a black paper. I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER). I was surprised that you can actually see all the sprays on black card, though mostly just the shimmer color.
- The second test is on a watercolor paper or I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER). The colors are bright and true on watercolor paper – they look perfect!
- The third test is on a mixed media paper or I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER). Each of the sprays look wonderful on the Mixed Media Paper as well!. Each of the sprays looks wonderful on the Mixed Media Paper as well!
- The fourth test is on a Yupo paper I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER). The sprays took longer to dry on the Yupo so they ended up with interesting little drying marks and patterns.
- Here is the final result, the sprays look different depending on the surface you spray them onto – but are always beautiful!

Now it’s time to create a Beautiful Canvas. I used all the same Sprays that I tested to make my Lace Canvas.
- Cover frame with Tape and Washi Tape.
- Glue on beautiful Lace for texture.
- Use Gesso in Black and White to prepare the canvas.
- Spray with 4 types of Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS, FLAT FABIOS, MOON SHADOWS and GLITZ SPRITZ
- Add flowers and sticker words to finish.

Tips
- I love using Sprays with brushes to create Splatters.
- You can overlay sprays colors, they blend well and don’t get muddy.
