Three Christmas Cards with New Painters Palette Collection - by Priss

Hello Crafty friends!!! Priss (@atful.layers) here starting with another week full of inspiration on the blog. Are you ready?

Experience the enchantment of the new Painter’s Palette collection with these three funny holiday cards. Each one is painted with a different set found in this collection. Feel free to share your favorite in the comments, although I must admit, all three are really beautiful.

To begin with, I used permanent ink to stamp some whimsical Christmas trees onto watercolor paper. To ensure that the colors did not spill over the edges of the stamp, I embossed them with Clearly Clear EP. Lastly, I created three distinct styles.

For my first card, I decided to use the Monet All Day set. I utilized the Impressionist’ Ink to paint the trunks of the trees and used Not in a Vermillion Years to decorate the tips. I experimented with the remaining three colors to depict shadows on each of the trees by varying the amount of water.

I have to say this set took me completely by surprise! I was impressed by the shade it left when it dried and the soft combination of the Blue an Lavender.

For my second card, I decided to use the Vinny’s View set. In this case I used Bring the House Brown for the trunks and Roll in the Hay for the stars and points. I really like the subtle delicacy of the colors in this set when used very diluted in water.

I’m in love with the results!. These colors are ideal shades for children’s projects, don’t you think?

So, for my third card, I had to use the Kissing Klimt set – it’s just too gorgeous to resist! I went with the Alive & Kissing Cobalt shade for the trunks, and for the stars and tips, I picked the Gustav’s Gold Leaf color. Then I had fun playing and combining the other three colors to paint these cute trees.

Let me tell you, this set is a true must-have! The colors are so vibrant and cheerful that you can create endless projects with them.

Now it’s time to watch the video tutorial. Hope you enjoy it!!!
