Hello Lindy’s Funs!
Today is the first weekend of Advent. So in the spirit of Christmas, I brought you a creation. Plus I used the new flat magical shakers 2.0 collection: Painters Palette.
I worked on a Mdf base, which I primed with white gesso and then stenciled with snow paste. On the stencilled part I sprinkled Fairy Garden Green shimmering embossing powder. Then I put some crackle paste on it.
From the new collection I chose 2 magical shakers in shades of green, namely Take it or Leaf it and Ears Lookin’ ‘Atcha Olive. I also added a golden-brown colour, namely Gustav’s Gold Leaf.
For the mould elements, I chose shades of red, lighter and darker shakers – Café Terrace Tangerine and Not a Vermillion Years. For a deeper and slightly more intense shimmery effect, I used Rizzo’s Rowdy Red and Oh Canada Crimson mist and squirts, which you can now find in the magical collection section of the shop.
I decided to Roll in the hay into the light bubbles mold elements and key and used more water to get a paler color. Since the bulbs are usually shiny and the flat magical is matte so I used embossing powder Angel Wings Mauve to give it that little shimmer.
Then it was the turn of the chipboards, as I had planned on gold and glittery green, so I chose Fairy Garden Green and Gimme Five Gold embossing powder.
I added some pine and leaves to the composition. I used Cathedral Pines Green starburst on the pines, then the embossing powder. I used Tannenbaum Green Gold , then Reindeer Moss Green and finally Bougainvillea Red Teal. I used fabric leaves, on which I put Take it or Leaf it and Ears Lookin’ ‘Atcha Olive magical shaker.I was suddenly scared when I put first one on because it looked very dark, not like on paper, but when I put Ears Lookin’ ‘Atcha Olive on and dried it, I got exactly the colour I wanted. 🙂
I put a little girl cutout in the center, and used flowers and deer cutouts, and some lace to soften the overall effect.
As a final step, I used wax and granular decorative elements.
I hope you are all getting in the mood for the holidays and that I have given you some inspiration for your possible Christmas creations.
I have also made a tutorial about it, which you can find here:
Have a nice day.
xoxo
