It’s Olga Ravenskaya here with my new mixed media artboard and step-by-step tutorial featuring one of my favorite Alexandra’s Artists Magicals Set.
Last year I was in Tanzania during my vacation and was so much impressed by this country. I left it with a heart full of love to its fascinating nature and beautiful open-hearted people.
All my sweet and tender memories are here, in my new artboard devoted to Tanzania, and beautiful color pallete of Alexandra’s Artists set helped me to express my emotions.
BASIC STEPS
- Prime the surface by a white gesso using a sponge
- Sprinkle over Alexandra’s Artists Magicals and add water from the sprayer
- Add several layers using the same way to achieve the depth of colors
- After full drying mix the magicals with a couple of water and apply them through the stencil using a brush
- Add stamps with water-resistant inks
- Mix the magicals with texture pastes and add beautiful patterns through the stencils
- Then add the main pattern through the stencil using the white modelling paste
- Take the thin brush and relax – paint your main pattern with the magicals mixed with a couple of water
- Paint your die cuttings using the brush
- Build up the composition and add some sequins
