Hello Gang!
Rita here today on the Lindy’s blog and this time I decided to make a Christmas Star for you.
Description of the process:
- I began by cutting three stripes from an empty roll of paper towels and gluing them together into the shape of a star.
- I proceeded with covering it with white gesso. It took me three layers of white gesso until I was able to cover the background fully.
- In my next step I added texture paste through the stencil and sprinkled it with Silence is Golden embossing powder while it was still wet. Afterwards, I melted it with the heat gun.
- I added a piece of thread to the star and continued coloring it with Spill the Tea Teal and Lizzy’s Cuppa’ Tea Teal Magical Shakers mixing them with water. Afterward, I sprayed it with Fix Basic in order to seal the colors.
- I colored the central piece of the star with Shabby Turbine Teal and Tibetan Poppy Teal Sprays and glued it to the star adding some Chateau Rose embossing powder around it.
- And finally, I used white gold wax to reveal all the textures and added some sparkling embellishments to make the star shine.
