Sparkling Star Christmas Decor with Lindy's Products by Rita Rut

Hello Gang!

Rita here today on the Lindy’s blog and this time I decided to make a Christmas Star for you.

Description of the process:

  1. I began by cutting three stripes from an empty roll of paper towels and gluing them together into the shape of a star.
  2. I proceeded with covering it with white gesso. It took me three layers of white gesso until I was able to cover the background fully.
  3. In my next step I added texture paste through the stencil and sprinkled it with Silence is Golden embossing powder while it was still wet. Afterwards, I melted it with the heat gun.
  4. I added a piece of thread to the star and continued coloring it with Spill the Tea Teal and Lizzy’s Cuppa’ Tea Teal Magical Shakers mixing them with water. Afterward, I sprayed it with Fix Basic in order to seal the colors.
  5. I colored the central piece of the star with Shabby Turbine Teal and Tibetan Poppy Teal Sprays and glued it to the star adding some Chateau Rose embossing powder around it.
  6. And finally, I used white gold wax to reveal all the textures and added some sparkling embellishments to make the star shine.
